The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra

"Astonishingly good"

The Spectator      “Miraculously authentic"  Country Life

The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra -
whose founder and musical director is singer and pianist Michael Law - are recognised as superb entertainment to a very high standard, sought after for concert and cabaret performances as well as private parties and corporate events.
From the Charleston and Puttin' On The Ritz of the 1920s through to swing hits of the 1930s and 40s such as Glenn Miller's In The Mood and Pennsylvania 6-5000, The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra play the greatest dance music and the best tunes of the Jazz Age. The PDO played for dancing at The Ritz (4 years) and The Savoy Hotels (6 years).

The PDO enjoys high celebrity status. NOW Magazine wrote recently: "The sumptuous Savoy Hotel was transformed into a spectacular speakeasy...The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra ensured that everyone was up on their toes... VIP guests Elizabeth Hurley, Stephen Fry, Cilla Black, Paul O'Grady , Tracey Emin and Lulu were transported into a bygone era..."

And following their concert at John Dankworth and Cleo Laine's Wavendon Festival: "this was probably the most entertaining evening I can remember...the orchestra is really superb..."
